Summary of constant current control system for AC power supply
Time:2023-09-26
As a system for circuit evaluation of CT embedded devices, we propose to combine a stable AC power supply with an AC electronic load device.
To evaluate the DUT specifications of AC power supply:
(1) 50Hz/60hz standard AC AC power CT
(2) The type of package on the printed circuit board adopts the line range that allows normal effective current (rms)
(3) It has the function of measuring the normal current and sending an alarm to the specified peak current under abnormal conditions
The system structure
The stable AC power supply is set to 50Hz or 60Hz and the AC current is output to the DUT through the AC electronic load device.
The AC power supply product has the function of setting the crest coefficient. When the crest factor is set to "4", the peak current of 40A can be passed if the effective current is set to 10A.
Through this peak current, the peak current of DUT of AC power supply can be detected to confirm the functional operation. In addition, with this approach, peak currents can be generated without changing the effective current value and without worrying about affecting the printed circuit.
In addition, if the AC power supply uses programming and control software to control load on/off and constant current (CC) setpoints, it can also produce a minimum intermittent peak current of 500ms, which is the waveform with a peak factor of "4" and current varying in the interval 0A to 5A.
As MENTIONED ABOVE, WHEN THE EXISTING TEST device (AC power supply, etc.) cannot PERFORM THE DESIRED function alone, in many cases it can be achieved by an auxiliary combination of other devices.
