Invisible problems in programmable DC power supply circuits

Time:2023-08-17
It is well known that in the programmable DC power supply circuit, there are elements called parasitic elements, drift elements, such as "resistance, capacitance, induction, etc., specially designed by the designer". However, I feel that in most cases, we can only find out what form these components will appear in the programmable DC power supply by actually trying. It seems that there are circuit simulators to model it, but the technique is not perfect.

This is a response to programmable DC power in a limited time, so it is not the best response and there is room for further improvement. But through this incident, I realized that the programmable DC power supply wiring is represented as "simple wires" on the circuit diagram, but it is an important factor in bringing certain characteristics to the product.
I personally feel that we must seriously consider how the change in the standard for programmable DC power will affect practical action. Also, in addition to the actions on the circuit diagram, it is important to anticipate the parasitic elements generated by the component configuration and wiring in advance.
