In the circuit with DC power supply as the output end, the filter capacitor is often connected in series to filter out the AC component of the current, making the DC power supply smoother and cleaner. At the moment of power switching, there will be a large current shock close to short circuit, which is a test of the load capacity of the DC output source component. If the output source is tested directly with an ordinary capacitor, there are two significant problems: first, the instantaneous current is too large, which may break down the unprotected capacitor and cause loss; Second, the capacitor has a single load characteristic, which simulates the load change process when the current changes into a stable output during the actual operation. To solve these problems, it is necessary to use DC intelligence to simulate the load and test the power supply through a pre-programmed load characteristic curve.
Currently, the vast majority of DC analog loads on the market lack variations in load characteristics that are close to those of pure resistance circuits. The developed and produced high power DC intelligent analog load has capacitor characteristics, which can simulate the real working condition of DC power when the filter capacitor is connected, and test the power performance. Dc loads can pass through instantaneous current of up to 2000A, which is sufficient to withstand the shock of sudden current changes when the power supply is switched.

In order to ensure that the DC power supply and load will not be damaged due to excessive current, the analog load has overcurrent automatic shutdown insurance. In addition, when the load is continuously tested and the ambient temperature is too high resulting in heat accumulation, the protection will automatically stop when the temperature is too high.
