Application of high power electronic load to DC charging pile test

Time:2023-10-31
With the continuous development of electric vehicles, the demand for charging piles is increasing. In the past, the actual environment test method was usually used for the charging pile test. Now some manufacturers are also choosing electronic load test charging posts. However, during testing, engineers may encounter the following situations: When the CV mode of electronic load is used, if the minimum charging voltage of the charging pile is taken as the loading parameter value of the CV mode and gradually loaded to 700V, it is likely that the larger current value will be loaded immediately during the test (in order to stabilize the load at 700V as soon as possible, the current will climb faster). If the current overshoot time is long, the amplitude is large, will lead to the charging pile overcurrent protection. To solve this problem, high performance and high power programmable DC electronic load can solve this problem.

The voltage range of high-performance high-power programmable DC electronic load is 150V/600V/1200V, which can meet the parameter requirements of charging piles. At the same time, it has CV CC compound operation mode, which can limit the breakthrough current. When overcurrent occurs in the test process and the charging pile cannot be started, the engineer only needs to use the parameter setting of this mode to limit the CV loading while adjusting the internal current to not exceed the overcurrent protection point of the charging pile, which can effectively solve the problem.
Due to the modular combination of DC charging piles, the power is more flexible, which requires that the power of testing instruments can also be flexibly combined. High performance and high power programmable DC electronic loads support parallel master-slave connections in CV mode. With multiple parallel connections, the required capacity can be precisely tested, with power up to 600KW. After the merger, all operations only need to be set on the host panel, and the host is automatically assigned to the slave, which ensures high performance, easy maintenance and cost savings. At the same time, a variety of communication interfaces (LAN/USB/RS232/GPIB) are built in to facilitate users to remotely control the product and conduct various tests.
