Precautions for high power DC power supply discharge test system

Here, if the load resistance value is set too low, the reverse voltage will be applied to the DC stable supply and no constant discharge will be possible. After turning on the output of the high power DC power supply, turn on the switch and start the constant current discharge. At this time, special attention should be paid to the following three points.
1, high power DC power supply needs to disconnect the circuit
When the output of the DC power supply is disconnected, the reverse voltage is applied to the output end of the DC power supply to make the internal circuit of the DC power supply pass current. Represents the equivalent circuit of the internal output of the DC power supply.
2, the high-power DC power supply is connected to the low Vf reverse connection protection diode
When the output of the DC power supply is disconnected, the reverse voltage is applied to the output end of the DC power supply to make the internal circuit of the DC power supply pass current. The maximum inflow current value can reach the rated output current value of the DC power supply. However, it is recommended to connect the low Vf reverse connection protection diode to the output terminal of the DC power supply.
The purpose of connecting diodes to a high power DC supply is to avoid a reduction in the capacity and life of capacitors connected to the output of the DC supply by reducing the reverse voltage as much as possible.
3, high power DC power battery protection
If the battery, transformer, rectifier diode, coil and other components on the direct reverse connection of the DC power output pass too much current, there is a possibility of damage to the device. If a reverse connection of the battery is possible, the reverse connection protection diode needs to be connected to the output of the DC power supply, and a protection circuit such as a fuse is provided. In order to avoid overcurrent accidents when the load resistance is short-circuited, it is recommended to set the fuse.
